30 Suspects Arrested For Looting Dogara’s Jos Residence
Thirty suspects have been arrested by The Particular Army Activity Power, for vandalising and looting valuables on the Jos residence of Mr Yakubu Dogara, a former Speaker of the Home of Representatives.
The Commander of the duty power, Maj.Gen. Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, introduced the suspects to newsmen on Sunday in Jos.
Okonkwo, who described the act as prison, stated the suspects violated the 24-hour curfew imposed on some components of the state by the federal government.
He stated the suspected criminals who invaded the home of the lawmaker on Sunday have been arrested by personnel of the duty power.
“These suspects, 13 males and 17 females have been arrested right this moment whereas vandalising the home of the previous Speaker Home of Representatives, Yakuba Dogara, at Lamingo, Jos.
“That is purely an act of criminality; vandalising and looting authorities property and that of personal people is prison.
“So, we can’t sit down and watch miscreants looting private and non-private properties within the state,” he stated.
The commander stated the suspects can be handed over to the suitable authority for prosecution.
