How Bribe Landed Deputy Superintendent Of Police And His Patrol Staff Members In Bother In Lagos
Kayode Popoola, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, has been arrested in Lagos.
The police officer and his crew members have been arrested for gathering N100,000 bribe.
Adebayo Taofiq, Head of Public Affairs, Lagos State Environmental and Particular Offences Process Pressure, mentioned this in a press release on Sunday.
Popoola is the chief of the Process Pressure crew working on Lekki-Ajah axis of Lagos.
Taofiq mentioned the bribe was paid by one Didi Ekanem.
She owns a Toyota Venza with quantity APP 775 GJ and was caught driving towards visitors round Lekki Ajah Expressway.
“After the switch, the automobile was then launched to Ekanem. They are going to be despatched again to the Lagos State Police Command for additional disciplinary actions,” Taofiq mentioned.
The spokesman confirmed that the Process Pressure Chairman, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi ordered the arrest of Kayode and others.
Egbeyemi warned motorists to desist from driving towards visitors, including that culprits can be charged to the Lagos State Cell Courtroom.
He advised residents to cease inducing officers with cash and reminded them that each the giver and receiver are liable in legislation.
