Lagos Authorities Units Up N200m Compensation Fund For SARS And Police Brutality Victims
A N200 million fund has been setup for victims of police brutality in Lagos state.
The announcement was made by the the Lagos State Authorities on Tuesday.
The federal government mentioned the fund might be used to compensate households of victims of Particular Anti-Theft Squad (SARS) killings. Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu introduced this whereas addressing the EndSARS protesters on the Lagos Home of Meeting gate, Alausa, Ikeja.
The compensation fund might be utterly supervised by Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) appointed by members of the general public.
