“My Offence Was Giving Medical Help To Protesters” – Pharmacist Cries Out After CBN Froze His Account

The Central Financial institution of Nigeria has been accused of victimizing a Nigerian youth after freezing his account.

 

Victor Israel took to Twitter to name out the CBN governor Godwin Emefiele, asking him to unfreeze his account.

 

In line with him, the one crime he dedicated was rendering medical help to folks throughout #EndSARS protest.

 

Recall that CBN obtained a federal courtroom order to freeze the financial institution accounts of 19 people and a public affairs firm linked to the #EndSARS protests final month.

 

In line with paperwork, CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele filed an ex-parte courtroom utility to freeze the accounts on October 20, 2020 which was granted by Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Abuja Federal Excessive Courtroom.

 

Bolatito Rachael Oduala (Rinu), Pamilerin Adegoke, Victor Babatunde and Victor Israel, 4 of the affected younger Nigerians have taken to their Twitter accounts to restate their dedication to the #EndSARS motion whereas revealing the impact of the account freeze.

 

Days after the knowledge was made public, Israel who relies in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, took to Twitter to vindicate himself by revealing that he solely supplied medical help to folks in the course of the protest.

 

“I’m Pharmacist Bassey Victor Israel, the Head of the medical staff #EndSars protest in PH & my offence was giving medical help to folks in the course of the protest.

“Godwin Emefiele how does this appear like somebody sponsoring terrorism?

I dedicated no crime, unfreeze my financial institution accounts,” he wrote.
