A suspected robber who runs a syndicate that robs passengers off their private belongings after boarding their tricycle has been arrested by the Anambra state police.

A press release launched on Sunday, November 1, by the spokesperson of the command, Haruna Mohammed, stated there was a misery name by one Ifejika Ogechi ‘f’ and Cheta Geofrey ‘m’ that whereas coming back from work, they have been attacked with bottles and dispossessed of their telephones, money sum of N9000 by a two-man theft syndicate working on Keke tricycle at Okpuno Awka.

Haruna stated that following the misery name, police operatives hooked up to B’ division Awka along side native vigilante group arrested one Christian Nwalieji aged 29years of Umuawa Ifite Ogwari in Ayamelum LGA however resides at Metropolis Grocery store Space Okpuno.

The spokesperson stated the suspect confessed to the crime and is helping the police to arrest different accomplices so as to convey them to e book.

 He added that one Keke tricycle with registration quantity Anambra ZBL-121-VC utilized in committing the act was recovered as an exhibit.
